Los Angeles, California (November 15, 2006) – Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) today launched a new radio station at Ontario International Airport (ONT) that will provide the traveling public and airport visitors with critical airport security information. The radio station will also provide information on terminal and airline locations, parking, ground transportation, services and amenities, and travel recommendations that will make traveling through ONT easier and more convenient.

LAWA APPOINTS DAVID SHUTER AS DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF PROJECT AND FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
(Los Angeles, CA – November 14, 2006) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) has announced the appointment of David Shuter as Deputy Executive Director of Project and Facilities Development Services. Shuter is responsible for managing the conceptual design, planning, engineering, and construction of all airside, landside and terminal facilities, road systems, parking, signage, curb usage, runways, and taxiways at all four LAWA airports: Los Angeles International (LAX), Ontario International (ONT), Palmdale Regional (PMD) and Van Nuys (VNY) general aviation.

VAN NUYS AIRPORT’S FREE ROCKIN’ AIRFEST 2006 CELEBRATES AVIATION’S LIVING HISTORY
(Van Nuys, CA)- A collection of rare historic aircraft from world-famous flying museums will be on display at Van Nuys Airport’s free Rockin’ AirFest 2006 on Sunday, June 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – with the event showcasing the City of Los Angeles’ first-ever flyover by the advanced F-22 Raptor, the world’s only fifth-generation fighter jet. Live band performances, aerial demonstrations, airfield tours and ground attractions also will highlight the event celebrating aviation’s living history.

SANTA ARRIVES BY HELICOPTER AT LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TO SPREAD HOLIDAY CHEER
Santa will fly in by helicopter to Gault Street Elementary School in Van Nuys, spreading holiday cheer and handing out gifts to more than 500 children. In the spirit of the season, Santa will distribute goodie bags filled with school supplies to all participating students. A lively ground crew featuring Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck will be part of the festivities.

L.A. CITY COUNCIL APPROVES VAN NUYS AIRPORT MASTER PLAN

Ceremony also includes a first-ever showing of Van Nuys Airport: 75 Years in Pictures, a new 12-minute, photo-based film about the airport’s rich history.

San Fernando Valley students from 11 local high schools will participate in Van Nuys Airport’s Aviation Career Education (ACE) Academy, a weeklong motivational program designed to provide an understanding of career opportunities and operations at both Van Nuys and Los Angeles International Airports. Students will get a behind-the-scenes look at airport facilities and meet employees from a wide variety of trade and professional occupations as they tour Van Nuys Airport (VNY) and visit the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) air traffic control tower, helicopter facilities and aviation companies specializing in corporate flight operations.

(Van Nuys, CA)- Van Nuys Airport (VNY) invites the public to the free Rockin’ AirFest 2005 on Sunday, May 15, 2005, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event, saluting the Bob Hope Hollywood USO at LAX, will feature displays of world-famous aircraft on national tour, plus live bands playing music from the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and beyond. There will also be a special preview show at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2005.

NEW VAN NUYS FLYAWAY BUS FACILITY OPENS
(Van Nuys, CA)- Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) officials and Los Angeles City Councilmember Tony Cárdenas today dedicated a new $34-million Van Nuys FlyAway bus facility, providing low-cost, nonstop transportation between the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles International Airport. Enhancements to the facility include additional parking, more convenient passenger drop-off, a modern terminal building and new landscaping.
